Production Engineer (Machine Shop)

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Plan and optimize machine utilization for maximum productivity.
- Prepare and maintain production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Analyze and reduce production downtime and process losses.
- Monitor cycle times and improve machining efficiency.
- Ensure proper machine loading and manpower allocation.
- Maintain production records, reports, and other data.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of conventional machining processes and CNC Turning,
- Understanding of machining drawings, GD&T;, and process sheets.
- Basic knowledge of production planning and inventory control.




- Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP systems.

Additional Requirements

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and team coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in shifts when required.
- Focus on safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing workplace.
