vConstruct made a commitment to this journey of product development by starting “vC Labs” in 2022. vC Labs is a dedicated team of people who come from the construction domain and technology domain to build solutions for problems we see in the construction management workflows by leveraging 3D web and mobile development, data science and analytics, AI/ML etc.

In less than a year of existence, the team has grown to 20 and has built 6 solutions that solve real world problems in construction management workflows for various vConstruct teams. These solutions also hold potential for similar users in the construction industry beyond vConstruct. The team has also come up with the initial prototype of the industry leading product based on the theme of BIM enabled integrated workflows.

We are seeking a driven and domain-minded Product Owner to take ownership of key modules within our B2B SaaS construction technology platform.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, field/industry experts, design, and engineering. You will be responsible for translating product strategy and customer needs into well-defined user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, and driving delivery through agile development cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Backlog Management & Agile Execution

- Maintain & Prioritize Backlog: Define, groom,



and prioritize product backlogs based on business value, customer feedback, and strategic vision.
- Story Writing & Acceptance Criteria: Write detailed user stories, technical requirements, epic descriptions, and clear acceptance criteria (Definition of Done).
- Sprint Planning & Ceremonies: Partner closely with engineering teams in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint retrospectives.
- Feature Delivery: Serve as the primary decision-maker during sprint development to clarify requirements and keep engineering teams moving efficiently.

Domain & Customer Focus

- Deep Domain Understanding: Develop a granular understanding of construction workflows (e.g., job costing, RFIs/Submittals, field reporting, equipment tracking, BIM integration, or compliance).
- Voice of the Customer: Gather continuous feedback from field operators, project managers, and enterprise buyers to refine features and drive product-market fit.
- On-site / Field Insights: Periodically engage with users through interviews, site visits, and usability testing to validate features.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with Product Managers to translate the broader roadmap into execution-ready sprints.
- Go-To-Market Support: Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product Marketing to ensure smooth feature launches, documentation, and user onboarding.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor feature adoption, usage metrics, and customer feedback post-launch to continuously iterate on functionality.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Associate Product Manager in a software environment.
- Domain Exposure: Background in Construction Tech, PropTech, Real Estate Tech,



or related field/industrial software (ERP, Field Management, CAD/BIM, Asset Management) is strongly preferred.
- B2B SaaS Experience: Proven track record in B2B SaaS products, understanding multi-tenant architectures, user permissions, and enterprise workflow complexities.
- Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and experience using management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex field processes into structured, developer-friendly requirements.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing technical trade-offs, APIs, data integrations, and system architecture with engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with industry integrations (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Sage, QuickBooks, Primavera P6).
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent product management certification.
- Direct background working in construction management, civil engineering, or project control.
