1. Role Purpose

Loom Solar is building a large-scale solar module business with a focus on technology, quality, cost competitiveness, manufacturing excellence and market leadership.

We are looking for a Product Manager – Solar Panels who will own the complete product lifecycle of Loom Solar PV modules:

Market Research → Product Strategy → Technology Selection → Product Development → Manufacturing → Certification → Costing → Pricing → Launch → Market Feedback → Product Improvement The Product Manager will work closely with R&D;, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, EPC, Finance and Service teams.

The objective is to build a competitive solar-panel portfolio for:

- Residential rooftop

- PM Surya Ghar

- C&I; rooftop

- EPC projects

- Open Access

- Utility-scale projects

- Government projects

- Export markets

2. Product Portfolio Ownership

Own the complete Loom Solar module portfolio across different technologies and applications.

Module categories

- Residential rooftop modules

- C&I; modules

- Utility-scale modules

- DCR modules

- Non-DCR modules

- Domestic modules

- Export modules

- Special application modules

Technology roadmap

Evaluate and develop products based on:

- Mono PERC

- TOPCon

- HJT

- Bifacial modules

- N-type technologies

- Higher-wattage modules

- High-efficiency modules

- Glass-glass modules

- Future PV technologies

Continuously identify the next generation of solar technology for Loom Solar.

3. Product Strategy

Develop a 3-year Solar Module Product Roadmap.

Define

- Product families

- Wattage range

- Module dimensions

- Cell technology

- Cell size

- Efficiency targets

- Bifaciality

- Temperature coefficient

- Warranty

- Target cost/W

- Target selling price/W

- Target gross margin

Identify gaps between Loom Solar's portfolio and market requirements.

4. Market & Customer Research

Work closely with the manufacturing team to improve:

- Lamination quality

- Visual quality

- Module reliability





Support recent product introduction

NPI → Pilot → Validation → Mass Production

Ensure new products can be manufactured economically at scale.

9. Quality & Reliability

Own the product-quality feedback loop.

- Hotspots

- Delamination

- PID

- Junction-box failures

- Connector failures

10. Product Testing

Define product-validation requirements covering:

- EL testing

- IV testing

- Hi-Pot

- Insulation testing

- Thermal cycling

- Damp heat

- Humidity freeze

- Mechanical load

- Hail testing

- UV exposure

- PID testing

- LID/LeTID

- Salt mist where applicable

- Ammonia testing where applicable

- Dust/sand testing where applicable

Work with Quality and external laboratories for product qualification.

11. Certification & Compliance

Own the product certification roadmap and documentation.

Coordinate with Quality, Engineering and certification agencies for applicable:

- BIS requirements

- IEC standards

- ALMM requirements

- DCR requirements

- MNRE requirements

- Utility requirements

- Export-market certifications

Maintain a product compliance matrix for every module family.

12. Product Warranty

Develop product warranty strategy based on:

- Product warranty

- Performance warranty

- Annual degradation

- Linear degradation curve

- First-year degradation

- End-of-life performance

Benchmark warranty structures across the market.

Work with Quality and Finance to calculate:

Warranty Risk → Provision → Product Cost

13. Pricing & Commercial Management

Develop product pricing based on:

Cost/W + Market Price/W + Product Value + Channel Margin + Target Gross Margin

Manage pricing for

- Retail

- Dealer

- Distributor

- EPC

- C&I;

- Utility

Track competitor pricing weekly/monthly.

14. Competitive Intelligence

Build a monthly competitor tracker covering:
