- Development of Door Trim &
- Pillar Trim components, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, tooling, and manufacturing teams.

- Material &

- Process Selection:

Select appropriate materials and design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), specializing in plastic injection molding, foaming, and skin covering processes.

- Validation &

- Testing:

Coordinate and execute validation testing (DVP&R;) to ensure structural integrity and safety standards.

- Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers to Support feasibility, packaging, and material selection processes design.

- Problem Solving &

- Quality:

Perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DVP, validation, and engineering change management.

- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including Engineering Change Notices (ECN),



bills of material (BOM), and material specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.

- Experience: Require in automotive product development, specifically with Door Trim &
- Pillar Trims.

- Software Proficiency: Knowledge about 3DX, or similar visualization tool and PLM systems.

- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of plastic injection molding, manufacturing processes, and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams, including stylists, suppliers, and manufacturing engineers.

- Industry Standards: Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and automotive quality standards
