Our esteemed client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying component and assembly design changes that reduce material cost, labor, and production issues. You will play a key role in scoping, developing, analyzing, and evaluating production design change projects.

Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities for optimizing material cost, labor, and production efficiency through component and assembly design changes.
- Pressure control, valve control, and fluid control knowledge and a plus.
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus.
- Take the lead in scoping, developing, analyzing, and evaluating production design change projects.
- Coordinate pre-production activities and secure necessary approvals for each project.
- Analyze field service call data to identify root causes of quality issues and develop effective solutions.
- Implement bill of material changes, drawing modifications, recent part drawings, and new model numbers for the production team.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of design changes and achieve targeted cost reductions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new products and product modifications.
- Obtain approvals for all new parts and product changes following established procedures.
- Foster technical expertise within the product line and provide support to other teams as required.
