About the Role

SS ASSOCIATES GROUP is looking for an experienced Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to manage end-to-end procurement, vendor development, inventory planning and logistics for our mustard oil manufacturing operations in Gorakhpur.

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in manufacturing procurement , preferably in Edible Oil, FMCG, Food Processing, Agro Commodities or related industries .

Experience in mustard seed/oilseed procurement and packaging material sourcing will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of mustard seeds, packaging materials, consumables and production-related materials .
- Develop and manage reliable suppliers for PET/HDPE bottles & caps, pouches/flexible films, labels, cartons, corrugated boxes, shrink films and other packaging materials .
- Source mustard seeds through mandis, traders, aggregators and direct suppliers , evaluating quality, oil yield, moisture, impurities, price and landed cost.
- Negotiate price, MOQ, credit terms, freight, quality, lead time and annual contracts with suppliers.
- Build alternate supplier networks with 2–3 approved suppliers for critical materials .
- Establish structured procurement processes covering PR, RFQ, quotation comparison, PO, delivery tracking, GRN and vendor coordination .
- Plan minimum stock, maximum stock, safety stock and reorder levels to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Finance and Sales for uninterrupted material availability.




- Manage inbound and outbound logistics , transporters and fleet performance.
- Monitor freight costs, vehicle utilization, route planning and turnaround time.
- Prepare regular procurement, inventory, vendor performance, logistics cost and savings MIS .
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier development and working-capital optimization .

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or related field .
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Supply Chain.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing procurement and vendor management .
- Experience in Edible Oil, FMCG, Food Processing, Agro Commodities or Manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in mustard seed/oilseed procurement will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of packaging procurement and commercial negotiations .
- Valuable command of Advanced Excel, MIS and procurement data analysis .
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Operations will be an advantage.
