About the Role:

Seprex is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with our pilot plant operations and support the development of cutting-edge solutions for process optimization. Role Summary The Chemical Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting chemical processes and equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations. The role involves working across all phases of process development—from laboratory and pilot scale to commercial implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and scale up chemical processes from lab/pilot to production scale.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;), heat & mass balance, and equipment specifications.




- Conduct safety and HAZOP studies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Evaluate and select equipment for new processes or modifications to existing systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation engineers.
- Monitor and analyze plant performance data; propose and implement improvements.
- Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of process units.
- Maintain documentation for process development, trials, and engineering changes.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure timely procurement and installation of equipment.

Required Qualifications

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 1-3 years in a process design, and Process Engineering
- Software Skills: MS Office, AutoCAD/P&ID; tools
- Knowledge: Reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer, distillation, separation processes, process safety
