Global leader in data integrity is Looking for:**** Job Posting Description Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Department: R&D;

Location: India

Overview of the Role: We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in identity, authentication, and authorization to join our R&D; team. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for all IAM (Identity and Access Management) initiatives across the Data Integrity Suite, shaping how enterprise customers securely authenticate, authorize, and integrate with our platform. You will combine hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, working directly with engineering leaders, product teams, and enterprise customers to design and deliver secure, scalable identity solutions.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of security, developer experience, and enterprise software — and who believes trust and seamless access are the foundation of great platform products.

What you will do:

- Architect and lead implementation of identity and access management solutions across the platform, including SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning, and fine-grained authorization.
- Own the Okta integration strategy — designing, building, and maintaining Okta-based authentication flows, Universal Login customizations, Actions, and API access management.
- Define and enforce IAM engineering standards across OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, and related protocols.
- Develop and maintain SDKs, libraries, and APIs that enable internal teams and enterprise customers to integrate securely with our identity infrastructure.
- Collaborate with platform architects, product management,

and enterprise customers to design identity solutions that address real-world compliance and security requirements.
- Lead customer discovery sessions and technical reviews focused on identity, authentication, and data access governance.
- Mentor and guide a high-performing engineering team on IAM best practices, secure coding, and identity-first design patterns.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other enterprise compliance standards.
- Evaluate and drive adoption of identity tooling, frameworks, and emerging standards within the IAM ecosystem.
- Serve as the technical bridge between customer security requirements and platform capabilities, translating complex identity use cases into scalable engineering solutions.

What we are looking for: Required:

- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of full-stack or backend software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on identity, authentication, and authorization systems.
- Hands-on, production-level experience with Okta — including Okta Workforce Identity, Customer Identity (Auth0 or Okta CIC), Okta Actions, Okta API Access Management, and SCIM provisioning.
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or .NET (C#), with demonstrated experience building enterprise-grade, secure backend services and APIs in these languages.
- Deep knowledge of identity protocols and standards: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, LDAP, SCIM 2.0, and JWT.
- Experience implementing role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and policy-based authorization models.
- Proven track record designing and securing REST and GraphQL APIs, including API gateway integration, token validation, and scoped access.
- Strong communication skills — able to lead technical conversations with engineers, architects,

and non-technical enterprise stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).

AI Skills/Knowledge:

- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) uses AI for code review, documentation, and test generation familiarity with LLM APIs or agentic workflows understands responsible AI principles including bias, security, and explainability.

Preferred Skills (a plus but not required):

- Experience with additional programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go — particularly in the context of identity middleware or microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud-native IAM services: AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, or Google Cloud Identity.
- Experience with Okta’s Advanced Server Access (ASA) or Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities.
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture principles and practical implementation patterns.
- Background in enterprise data governance, data quality, or SaaS platform security.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or AI agent security patterns as they relate to identity and access.
- Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing coordination, or security code review.
- Relevant certifications such as Okta Certified Professional/Administrator, CISSP, or equivalent.
