Job Summary The Pricing Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day pricing and quotation requests for the company's logistics business. The role involves obtaining competitive rates from ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, and other logistics vendors, preparing customer quotations, and ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Pricing & Quotations

- Handle daily pricing requests received.
- Obtain and compare rates from ocean carriers, NVOCCs, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, and other service providers.
- Prepare competitive and accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
- Calculate ocean freight, destination charges, origin charges, drayage, fuel surcharges, customs-related charges, warehousing and other applicable costs.
- Ensure correct margins and mark-ups are applied as per company guidelines.
- Maintain pricing records and rate sheets.

2. Carrier & Vendor Coordination

- Communicate with carriers, co-loaders, agents, truckers and other vendors for rates and service information.
- Negotiate rates where appropriate and identify cost-effective routing options.
- Monitor validity dates, GRI/PSS announcements, surcharges and other rate changes.
- Maintain an updated database of carrier and vendor rates.
- Provide routing options,



transit times, sailing schedules and rate validity.
- Follow up on pending quotations and rate requests.
- Ensure urgent pricing requests are handled within agreed turnaround times.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure quoted services and charges are operationally feasible.

3. Reporting & Administration

- Maintain accurate pricing files and quotation records.
- Prepare regular reports on pricing activity, RFQs, conversion and pending requests, as required.
- Track vendor responses and turnaround times.
- Ensure all pricing information is entered and maintained accurately in the company's systems.

Preferred candidate profile

- 2 to 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics pricing, or a similar role.
- Good understanding of ocean freight and US logistics.
- Experience with FCL/LCL pricing preferred.
- Knowledge of US ports, inland locations and drayage is an advantage.
- Robust Excel skills.
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with US time zones and support a US-based team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple pricing requests simultaneously.
