Job Title: POS (Point of Sale) Application Support / POS Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced POS (Point of Sale) Application Support Engineer/Consultant with 5-7 years of experience in implementing, supporting, and maintaining retail POS solutions. The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of POS systems, payment integrations, retail operations, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 support for POS applications across retail environments.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain POS systems and associated peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to billing, payments, inventory, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Support integration between POS systems, payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and inventory management systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of POS applications.
- Coordinate with vendors, business users, and technical teams for issue resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Support software upgrades, patches, and new store rollouts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs,



and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in testing activities for POS enhancements and releases.

Required Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in POS application support and administration.
- Strong understanding of retail business processes and store operations.
- Experience with POS platforms such as Oracle Xstore, NCR, GK, Toshiba, Shopify POS, Lightspeed, or similar.
- Knowledge of payment processing, card transactions, and payment gateway integrations.
- Experience with SQL and database troubleshooting.
- Understanding of APIs, web services, and system integrations.
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail domain projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
- Certification in Retail POS technologies or ITIL.
