Role Summary
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications and APIs.
- Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Ensure quality through functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities
- Create test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Design, develop, and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test cases.
- Develop and execute API automation tests for REST services.
- Validate API requests, responses, status codes, and data accuracy.
- Build reusable Page Objects, fixtures, utilities, and test data components.
- Configure cross-browser, parallel, and headless test execution.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor test execution and analyze automation failures.
- Troubleshoot flaky tests and script-related issues.
- Log, track, verify, and retest defects.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams.
- Prepare test execution reports, automation metrics, and documentation.
- Conduct automation code reviews and promote best practices.





Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Solid hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
- Expertise in selectors, locators, assertions, waits, and fixtures.
- Experience with browser contexts and test isolation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of automation framework design and maintenance.
- Experience in web application testing and API testing.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, and end-to-end testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of test reporting, debugging, traces, screenshots, videos, and logs.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills
- SQL and database validation experience.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing.
- Experience in visual regression testing.
- Exposure to mobile web testing.
- Understanding of performance testing concepts.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
- Experience with cloud-based browser execution platforms.
- Knowledge of environment configuration and management.
- Relevant Testing Certification or Agile Certification is an added advantage.
