The Role
As a Platform Engineer in the Data & Analytics team, you’ll sit at the vital intersection between software engineering and infrastructure. Your mission is to ensurethat the systemswe build are not only functional, but also resilient, observable, performant, and production ready.
You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and the central infrastructure team to design and support the environments, tooling, and operational practicesthat power our data platform. From CI/CD pipelines to database performance tuning, observability, and scaling strategy — you’ll be the expert who helps us build mechanical sympathy between our code and the systems it runs on.
This is a hands-on, enablingrole ideal for someone who loves helpingteams ship great software safelyand reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the CI/CD pipelines for the Data Platform, supporting fast, secure, and repeatable deployments.
- Enhance observability across services, pipelines, and data flows, supporting logs, metrics, tracing, and alerts.
- Monitor and optimize databaseperformance, availability, and access patterns.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure teamsto ensure HA, disaster recovery, and scaling strategies are in place and well understood.
- Partner with engineers to define best practices for environment management, secrets, configuration, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Support the team in diagnosing and resolving production issues and in building systemsthat are easier to debug and maintain.
- Identify and reduce operational friction, creating tools or automations where needed to improve reliability and developer velocity.
Essential Criteria
- Strong experience working with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application performance tooling.
- Practical knowledge of observability stacks— including metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting.
- Hands-on experience with databases(e.g. PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or cloud-native DBs), including monitoring and tuning.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS), containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
- A collaborative mindset, able to work across engineering and infrastructure teamsto solve shared problems.
- Passion for enabling others, improving developer experience, and building reliablesystems.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience supporting data pipelines, analytics platforms, or distributed systems at scale.
- Familiarity with data management frameworks (e.g. AWS Glue, Temporal) and performance profiling in data-intensive environments.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana,Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of security best practices relatedto data platforms, secrets management, and access control.
- Knowledge of container orchestration and serverless deployment patterns (e.g. ECS, Fargate, Lambda).
What We Offer
- A unique opportunity to shape the operational backboneof our company’s data platform.
- A collaborative engineering culturewhere operational excellence is valued and supported.
- The freedom to improvehow things are built, deployed, and run with real impact.
- A close partnership with experienced engineersand infrastructure specialists.
- A modern, cloud-native stackand a platform that’s scalingrapidly.
