Job Overview:

The Placement Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end placement process for trainees, from candidate sourcing and employer coordination to placement execution and post-placement tracking. The role involves building partnerships with colleges, NGOs, and employers, preparing trainees for job opportunities, coordinating interviews and onboarding, maintaining accurate placement records and MIS, tracking placed candidates, and supporting employer and trainee engagement. The position will also work closely with internal teams, prepare placement reports, document success stories, and contribute to improving training and placement outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

- Establish partnerships with colleges, NGOs, and other institutions to identify and mobilize potential candidates, and coordinate outreach activities such as campus drives and information sessions.
- Coordinate with HR teams of partner employers to understand hiring requirements and timelines, and develop a placement calendar aligned with training completion dates and employer recruitment cycles.
- Collaborate with trainers and the project team to identify and shortlist eligible candidates for placement opportunities.
- Ensure placement-related documents, including resumes, certification copies, and assessment records, are complete and updated.
- Organize pre-placement orientation sessions, resume-writing workshops, and mock interviews, and brief trainees on job roles, workplace expectations,



and company-specific policies.
- Facilitate interview and onboarding processes between trainees and employers, and maintain detailed placement records including job role, salary, location, and employer information.
- Regularly update the placement Management Information System (MIS) and ensure accuracy of placement data.
- Track placed candidates for a minimum of six months to assess retention, satisfaction, and workplace challenges, and act as a liaison between trainees and employers to resolve issues during the initial employment phase.
- Collect employer feedback and share it with trainers to improve curriculum and delivery, while coordinating closely with training, mobilization, and MIS teams to strengthen training-to-placement workflows.
- Prepare and share monthly placement reports with project management and donor teams, document impact stories and success case studies, and provide regular team feedback to improve training strategies and placement outcomes.

Profile Requisites:

- Bachelors degree in any stream.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in placement, recruitment, employer engagement, or skill development programmes, preferably in the development sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other data management tools.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.

Remuneration - Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the consultancy fees range is upto INR 45,000 per month.
