About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA’s dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform, which serves as a critical component of our healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

As a senior member of the development team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs. The role offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility to work both remotely and from our Bangalore office, supporting a work-life balance while maintaining high productivity and engagement.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.



A minimum of 5-8 years of software development experience across the full SDLC is required. Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, Object-Oriented Programming, and the LAMP stack is essential.

Experience with MVC frameworks, particularly CakePHP or similar, is highly desirable. The candidate should have a solid understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Bootstrap, along with experience working with relational databases like MySQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS, is preferred.

Experience within the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry is a plus, given the nature of IQVIA’s solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications utilizing PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and facilitate third-party integrations to enhance platform capabilities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to meet enterprise standards and user expectations.
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions,



and Agile development processes to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to support ongoing development and compliance requirements.
