About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA’s dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise SaaS platform, which serves a broad spectrum of healthcare and life sciences clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with expertise in PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks such as CakePHP. You will play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions that support our innovative healthcare solutions.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development, particularly in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), is essential. Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x, Object-Oriented Programming, and LAMP stack technologies is required.

Experience with MVC frameworks, especially CakePHP, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have at least three years of experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Bootstrap, Twig, or Vite. Familiarity with databases like MySQL and NoSQL, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), is also important.





Experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications utilizing PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks, with a focus on CakePHP.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to extend platform capabilities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold code quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile development processes to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ongoing reference and compliance.
