Job Purpose

- Preparation of Technical Tender documents and Floating enquiry for Boiler Mechanical erection package for TPP and WHRS project.
- Discussion with vendor on offer and Preparation of Technical evaluation report
- Checking of engineering document for the Boiler package, providing input to other stake holder i.e. Mechanical, E&I; and Civil for engineering.
- Monitoring day to day activity at project site and preparation of MIS for the same. Highlighting important points to management.
- Collection of data of Operating Plants i.e. KPI data, CAPEX status and performances

Job Context & Major Challenges With a vision of increasing the cement capacity from 115 MTPA to 140 MTPA by 2024, Central Project Cell needs to be strengthened with a clear focus on optimizing project cost & time with emphasis on Safety.

Project

Cell is having In-House capabilities to build a cement plant & Captive Power Plant/ Modernization of plants / Efficiency improvements through innovative projects. The Team in project cell is consisting of Intellectuals, Subject Matter Experts and designers.

More than 20 MTPA of cement capacity is added since formation of project cell through execution of 04 IUs, 07 GUs, 02 BTs along with 132 MW of Waste Heat Recovery system and 155 MW Captive Power Plants.

Apart from this Project cell is also associated with inorganic growth of 41MTPA.

Currently projects under execution at 12 locations and proposal under approval for 11 locations with a capex outflow of more than 9000 crs.

Presently, Cement business has 23 integrated units, 24 grinding units, 07 bulk terminals and further spreading its footprint steadily with new brown field/ Green Field projects and acquisitions.

To maintain our market leadership & cost competitiveness it is important to continuously modernize by implementing innovative ideas in existing units, execution of new projects and acquisition.

KRA1 Package ordering Boiler Mechanical erection package

- Preparation of tender for package and floating enquiry for the same.
- Review of offer received and analysis of impact for deviation requested.
- Preparation for Technical evaluation report

KRA2 Review engineering for Boiler Mechanical erection package.
- Review of engineering document received from vendor and approval.
- Sharing input with other stake holder
- Follow-up with vendor for completion of engineering activity as per schedule

KRA3 Detail engineering for Boiler building
- Generating drawing required for inter face engineering.
- Updating as per inputs received from other stake holders.
- Adhering to time lines, ensuring ease of execution & correctness in all respect

KRA4 a) a) To monitor the project schedule and ensure execution as per schedule b) c) b) Follow-up with vendor for equipment deliveries at project sites
- Monitor Schedules of complete project activities and discuss mitigation plan for the critical activities with stakeholder
- Arranging timely submission, approval and release of drawings for execution at site
- To monitor contractors’ performance during execution and discuss interventions and support with additional plant and machinery resources to expedite the execution.

- Monitoring dispatch of equipment for vendor for timely execution of project

KRA5 To monitor CAPEX of Operating Plants, Collect data for the operating plant and identify improvement prospect in TPP & WHRS
- Collection of data for WHRS and TPP KPI and identify the gap in performance.
- Updating report to management for preparation of WHRS and TPP Road Map.
- To prepare note on Proposed technical schemes of Existing Plants and Facilitate Approval.
- Checking of Technical Offers for the Approved Schemes
