Role Description The Personal Insurance Advisor is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding individuals and families in selecting suitable insurance products across health, life, home, and cyber coverage. On a day-to-day basis, the advisor will assess clients’ needs, explain policy terms and benefits, prepare quotes, and recommend tailored solutions. The role includes providing ongoing support for claim-related queries, coordinating with internal claim experts, and ensuring clients understand documentation and timelines.
The advisor will maintain detailed records of interactions, follow up on leads, and collaborate with the broader team to improve advisory tools and customer experience.
This position requires consistent, professional communication with clients via phone, email, and digital platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Insurance products and principles, with the ability to interpret and explain policy coverage and exclusions.
- Understanding of basic Finance concepts, including premiums, deductibles, and risk assessment relevant to personal insurance.
- Experience in Consulting or advisory roles, with a focus on needs analysis and personalized solution recommendations.
- Proven Customer Service skills, including empathy, patience, and a client-first mindset in handling queries and concerns.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in explicit, simple language.
- Comfort working remotely, with strong organizational skills, time management, and self-motivation.
- Prior experience in insurance broking, underwriting, or claims handling is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems to manage client data and track interactions.
