Responsibilities

- Understand and review application requirements to identify performance testing needs and formulate detailed performance test plans and strategies.

- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability test scenarios.

- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter or similar performance testing tools.

- Identify appropriate workload models, user journeys, test data, concurrency levels, and performance benchmarks based on business requirements.

- Execute performance tests across different test environments and monitor application behavior under varying workloads.

- Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks related to application, database, API, network, CPU, memory, and other system components.

- Prepare detailed performance test reports, including test scenarios, workload configuration, response times, throughput, error rates, resource utilization, and identified bottlenecks.

- Conduct baseline, benchmark, load, stress, spike, and endurance testing as required.

- Collaborate with Developers, QA, DevOps, Database, and Infrastructure teams to investigate and resolve performance-related issues.

- Raise performance defects with appropriate evidence and work closely with development teams for root-cause analysis and resolution.

- Validate application performance after fixes and conduct regression/performance testing to ensure that issues have been resolved.

- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous performance testing where applicable.

- Develop reusable performance test scripts and frameworks to reduce manual effort and improve testing efficiency.

- Monitor application and server performance during test execution using relevant monitoring and profiling tools.

- Coordinate with the client QA/Performance Testing team and other technology stakeholders for test planning, execution, and reporting.

- Generate performance test reports for every Sprint/initiative and provide walkthroughs of findings and recommendations to stakeholders.





- Proactively identify opportunities to improve application performance, test coverage, automation, and overall testing processes.

- Support pre-release and post-deployment performance validation where required.

- Investigate production performance issues, customer complaints, and application-related performance incidents.

- Identify potential performance risks and communicate them to relevant stakeholders with appropriate recommendations.

- Follow organizational policies, information security requirements, and applicable compliance standards.

- Maintain proper test documentation, evidence, scripts, results, and performance metrics.

- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand performance expectations and ensure successful delivery of technology changes.

Education and Experience

- 3-5 years of experience in Performance Testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter is mandatory.

- Experience in designing and executing Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, and Scalability Testing.

- Good understanding of performance testing concepts, workload modelling, concurrency, throughput, response time, TPS, and performance benchmarks.

- Experience in analyzing JMeter test results and identifying application performance bottlenecks.

- Experience with REST/SOAP API performance testing.

- Good understanding of SQL and database performance.

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar tools is preferred.

- Knowledge of Java and scripting concepts for developing and customizing JMeter scripts.

- Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle is preferred.

- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.

- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, web applications, and client-server architecture.

- Valuable understanding of performance metrics and result analysis.

- Experience in preparing detailed Performance Test Reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
