Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Finastra GPP implementation and integration, payment systems, cross-border payment processing, ISO 20022 messaging, and integration architecture. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to design, document, and implement robust payment interfaces and ensure seamless integration with core banking platforms.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong combination of Finastra GPP expertise, banking domain knowledge, payment integration experience, and core banking transformation exposure. The candidate must be capable of independently analyzing integration requirements, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful payment platform integration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Finastra GPP implementation and integration activities within core banking transformation programs.
Analyze payment integration requirements and translate business needs into technical interface specifications.
Design and support payment interfaces using REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, Kafka, and file-based integrations.
Work on payment messaging standards, including RTGS, SWIFT, cross-border payments, and ISO 20022 (MT/MX schemas).
Prepare Interface Specification Documents (ISD), Interface Control Documents (ICD), and other integrationrelated documentation.
Coordinate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to obtain interface documentation approvals and sign-offs.
Support General Ledger (GL) integration, including accounting entries, financial postings, and reconciliation processes.
Perform source-to-target data mapping and define data transformation logic across integrated systems.
Analyze payment processing workflows and ensure accurate data exchange between payment platforms and core banking systems.
Support integration testing, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of payment interface issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of payment integration solutions
Mandatory Skills & Experience Requirement
Mandatory Experience Overall IT Experience 8–15 years Relevant Experience Experience in payment integration and business/technical analysis
Banking Experience Solid experience in the banking domain Finastra GPP Hands-on Finastra GPP implementation and integration experience within a core banking transformation program
Requirement Mandatory Experience Payment Systems Experience with RTGS, SWIFT, cross-border payments, and ISO 20022 messaging
Messaging Standards Strong understanding of MT/MX schemas and payment messaging formats Integration Technologies
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, Kafka, and file-based interfaces Data Formats
Working knowledge of JSON and XML Interface Documentation
Experience preparing ISD/ICD and obtaining stakeholder/vendor sign-offs GL Integration Experience with accounting entries, reconciliation, and financial postings
Data Mapping Expertise in source-to-target data mapping and transformation logic
Core Banking Experience in core banking transformation and implementation projects
Preferred Skills
Experience working with banking payment platforms and payment hubs.
Knowledge of end-to-end payment processing life cycles.
Understanding of payment clearing and settlement processes.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with banking clients, vendors, and technical teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant banking technology certifications will be an advantage
