A Dealership Workshop Painter is responsible for painting and refinishing vehicle body parts, repairing paint damage, maintaining paint quality, and ensuring vehicles meet the dealership's quality standards.

1. Roles of a Dealership Workshop Painter1. Vehicle Painting

- Paint vehicle body panels such as doors, bonnets, bumpers, and fenders.
- Perform repainting on damaged or repaired areas.
- Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat as required.
- Ensure proper color matching and paint finish.

- Clean and prepare vehicle surfaces before painting.
- Remove dust, grease, rust, and old paint when necessary.
- Perform sanding, masking, and putty application.
- Ensure the surface is smooth and ready for painting.

1. Paint Quality Control

- Check the paint finish for defects, scratches, and color mismatch.
- Identify paint defects such as runs, orange peel, dust particles, and uneven coating.
- Perform polishing and finishing work.
- Ensure the final finish meets dealership quality standards.





Responsibilities of a Workshop Painter 1 Inspect vehicle damage and identify painting requirements.

2 Prepare surfaces for painting and refinishing.

3 Perform sanding, masking, and primer application.

4 Mix and match paint colors according to manufacturer specifications.

5 Apply paint using spray-painting equipment.

6 Apply basecoat and clearcoat as required.

7 Maintain proper paint thickness and finish.

8 Identify and correct painting defects.

9 Perform polishing and buffing of painted surfaces.

10 Maintain painting tools, spray guns, and workshop equipment.

11 Follow workshop safety rules and PPE requirements.

12 Maintain cleanliness in the paint booth and work area.

13 Coordinate with denting, body repair, and service teams.

14 Complete assigned jobs within the scheduled time.

15 Follow dealership quality standards and manufacturer guidelines.
