We are seeking a qualified Orthopedic Surgeon holding a Diploma in Orthopedics (D. Ortho) with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience. This dual-capability role combines clinical trauma and orthopedic evaluation with remote medical assessment.
The doctor will oversee virtual patient disability verifications, identify red flags for potential insurance fraud, and actively represent the institution by deposing expert medical evidence in court when summoned for Medico-Legal Cases (MLCs).
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Medico-Legal Evaluation: Conduct orthopedic evaluations, process trauma records, prepare wound certificates, and determine disability percentages accurately per statutory guidelines.
Tele-Disability Verification: Perform structured, high-integrity video assessments to evaluate patient range-of-motion, limb impairment,
and functional disability remotely.
- Insurance Fraud Detection: Apply basic insurance anti-fraud principles during video verifications to identify malingering, symptom exaggeration, coaching, identity impersonation, or video manipulation.
Court Testimony & Deposition: Serve as an expert medical witness to present hospital records, depose testimony, and submit objective medico-legal evidence in judicial courts or tribunals (e.g., MACT) when summoned.
- Case Escalation & Reporting: Flag inconsistent or suspicious claims for physical examination or secondary field investigation, maintaining detailed and objective medical audit trails.
