Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Payroll Functional Consultant with 7+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementations, enhancements, support, and functional consulting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Payroll, Core HR, Absence Management, and related HCM modules, with hands-on experience in requirements gathering, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, HR/Payroll teams, technical teams, and project managers to deliver scalable and compliant Oracle HCM Payroll solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead functional activities for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support projects.
- Gather and analyze business requirements from HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into Oracle HCM Payroll functional solutions.
- Configure Oracle Payroll elements, payroll relationships, balances, calculation cards, fast formulas, payroll flows, costing, payment methods, and related components.
- Configure and support Payroll, Core HR, Absence Management, and related Oracle HCM modules.
- Design and document payroll processes, business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs.
- Develop and maintain Fast Formulas to support complex payroll and HR requirements.
- Configure payroll legislative and organizational requirements, including earnings, deductions, benefits, taxes, and statutory requirements.




- Support payroll integrations with third-party systems, banks, finance systems, and other enterprise applications.
- Work with technical teams on OTBI, BI Publisher, HDL, HCM Extracts, REST/SOAP APIs, and integrations as required.
- Conduct functional testing, including unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, parallel payroll testing, and UAT.
- Analyze payroll issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.
- Support payroll parallel runs, reconciliation, validation, and go-live activities.
- Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, configuration documents, and end-user training materials.
- Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and manage functional deliverables within project timelines.
- Provide production support and participate in incident and change management processes.
- Stay current with Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly updates and assess their impact on existing configurations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle HCM/Oracle Payroll functional consulting.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
- Experience in at least one or more Oracle HCM implementation or support projects.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll elements, balances, costing, payroll flows, payment processes,



and payroll reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Quick Formulas.
- Good knowledge of Oracle HCM Core HR and Absence Management.
- Experience with payroll interfaces, integrations, and data conversion.
- Working knowledge of HDL, HCM Extracts, OTBI, BI Publisher, REST/SOAP APIs, and other Oracle HCM technical components.
- Strong understanding of payroll business processes and HR operations.
- Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global project environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll certification is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud implementation methodologies.
- Experience working with multi-country payroll or global payroll implementations.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory requirements for relevant geographies.
- Experience with Oracle quarterly release testing and impact assessment.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
