We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and experienced qualified who can take ownership of import operations and contribute to the continued growth and smooth functioning of the organisation.

This is a position for a serious logistics professional who is looking for a long-term opportunity and is capable of independently handling import operations.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Imports to manage and oversee import operations and ensure the smooth and timely movement of shipments from arrival to final delivery.

The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Logistics industry, with strong exposure to Custom House Agency (CHA), Import Operations and/or Freight Forwarding.

The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, coordination with shipping lines, CFS/port operations, transporters and clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise day-to-day import operations.
- Handle end-to-end import shipment processes from arrival of cargo/vessel to customs clearance and final delivery.
- Coordinate with Customs, CHA teams, shipping lines, CFS, ports, transporters, freight forwarders and clients.
- Ensure timely completion of customs clearance and shipment documentation.
- Review and verify import documents such as Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, IGM, Bill of Entry and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate for filing of Bills of Entry and ensure proper documentation for customs clearance.




- Track shipment status and provide timely updates to clients.
- Monitor ETA, vessel arrival, cargo availability, examination, assessment, duty payment, Out of Charge and delivery.
- Coordinate with transporters for timely cargo movement and delivery.
- Handle operational issues, delays, documentation discrepancies and clearance-related challenges.
- Ensure shipments are processed within agreed timelines and minimise unnecessary delays and costs.
- Coordinate with internal Billing and Accounts teams regarding shipment-related charges and documentation.
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain proper records of import shipments and operational activities.
- Supervise and guide the import operations team.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable customs/logistics requirements.
- Maintain strong qualified relationships with clients and service partners.
- Prepare operational reports and MIS as required by management.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Logistics industry.
- Mandatory: Experience in Logistics / CHA / Freight Forwarding.
- Strong practical knowledge of Import Customs Clearance.
- Good understanding of shipping lines, CFS, ports and transport operations.
- Experience handling import documentation and shipment coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and operational activities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.




- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Candidates with experience managing an import operations team will be preferred.

Salary & Joining
