About the Role

Agrani Hospitality Private Limited is looking for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager – Tourism to manage and strengthen the end-to-end operations of its tourism and pilgrimage travel business.

The position requires a hands-on operations qualified capable of managing multiple tour departures simultaneously, coordinating internal teams and external vendors, resolving operational challenges, establishing robust processes, and ensuring a consistently high standard of customer experience.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in tourism, travel operations, group tours or destination management, with proven experience leading an operations team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end operational planning and execution of tours/Yatras, from pre-departure preparation through successful completion.
- Coordinate multiple tour departures, itineraries, hotels, transportation, meals, guides, coordinators and destination-level arrangements.
- Ensure operational readiness through detailed pre-departure checklists, reviews and briefings.
- Manage hotel, transport and other tourism vendors and ensure delivery according to agreed service standards.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Accounts and other departments for seamless execution.
- Lead and supervise the Operations team, including allocation of responsibilities, daily reviews, performance monitoring and problem resolution.
- Monitor ongoing tours and provide timely support for operational issues, emergencies, itinerary changes and customer concerns.
- Anticipate operational risks and establish contingency plans for weather, road closures, transportation disruptions, hotel issues and other unforeseen circumstances.
- Ensure senior citizens and other travellers requiring additional assistance are appropriately supported.
- Develop, document and continuously improve SOPs, checklists and operational processes.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track operational KPIs, service quality, complaints, incidents, vendor performance and process compliance.




- Conduct post-tour reviews and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future operations.
- Control operational costs while maintaining required service and quality standards.
- Negotiate and coordinate effectively with hotels, transporters, local operators and other vendors.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, records and MIS reports.
- Build a professional, accountable and service-oriented operations culture.
- Ensure that all operations are aligned with the organisation's policies, service standards and customer commitments.

Eligibility & Experience

Mandatory requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial/team leadership role.
- Significant experience in tourism, travel operations, group tours, pilgrimage tourism, destination management or a closely related field.
- Experience handling end-to-end operations for group travel.
- Proven ability to manage teams, vendors and multiple concurrent operations.
- Candidate must currently reside within 10 km of Malleswaram, Bengaluru.
- Willingness to work from the Malleswaram office and be available outside regular working hours when operational situations require intervention.

Mandatory Language Proficiency The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in:
- English
- Kannada
- Hindi
- Tamil
- Telugu

The role involves interaction with customers, employees, guides, coordinators, hotels, transporters and vendors from different regions; therefore, proficiency in all five languages is an important requirement. Key Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate:

Operations Management: Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, resource allocation, execution and operational controls.

People Leadership: Ability to lead teams with clear instructions, accountability, professional communication and timely decision-making.

Problem Solving: Ability to remain composed during operational disruptions and arrive at practical solutions quickly.

Process Orientation: Strong capability in SOP development, checklists, RCA, corrective actions and continuous process improvement.

Vendor Management: Ability to negotiate,



coordinate and maintain productive relationships with tourism vendors.

Customer Orientation: Strong understanding of traveller expectations and commitment to delivering a reliable and well-organised travel experience.

Decision Making: Ability to assess situations, prioritise issues and make timely operational decisions.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a multi-lingual and multi-stakeholder environment.

Attention to Detail: Ability to manage numerous operational dependencies without losing sight of critical details.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tourism Management, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Experience with a reputed tour operator, travel company, DMC or pilgrimage tourism organisation.
- Experience managing large group departures and multi-destination itineraries.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, project management, HRMS and other digital operations systems.
- Experience implementing structured management frameworks such as RCA, RACI/DACI, CAPA, SOPs and operational dashboards.

Nature of the Role This is not a purely administrative or desk-based managerial position. The Operations Manager is expected to remain closely involved with day-to-day operations, actively support the team during critical situations and take ownership of the successful execution of every tour.

The position requires a combination of leadership, discipline, process orientation, customer sensitivity and hands-on operational capability.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who can bring maturity and structure to a fast-moving tourism operation—an individual who can plan ahead, lead people, build processes, anticipate problems and take ownership until resolution.

Experience alone will not be sufficient. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to convert experience into better systems, stronger teams, predictable operations and consistently high service standards.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
