Pluto is building electric vehicles designed specifically for last-mile delivery. Our vehicles are deployed through a network of delivery hubs, where we manage vehicle operations, delivery partners, battery swapping, maintenance, inventory, and day-to-day fleet requirements.

We are looking for an Operations Intern who is comfortable working on the ground, taking ownership, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and solving operational problems in real time.

This is not a desk-based role. You will spend the majority of your time at a Pluto delivery hub and will be responsible for ensuring that the hub and its operations run smoothly every day.

What You’ll Do

Run Day-to-Day Hub Operations

- Take ownership of the day-to-day functioning of a Pluto delivery hub.
- Ensure vehicles are available, charged, operational, and ready for deployment.
- Coordinate the movement and allocation of vehicles to delivery partners.
- Monitor vehicle returns, charging/battery swapping, maintenance, and deployment.
- Ensure the hub is operationally ready throughout the day and resolve issues as they arise.
- Maintain discipline and operational standards at the hub.

Manage Delivery Partner Operations
- Coordinate with delivery partners on vehicle allocation, deployment, returns, and operational requirements.
- Track attendance, deployment, productivity, and other relevant operational metrics.
- Resolve day-to-day issues faced by delivery partners.
- Ensure vehicles are handed over and returned according to process.




- Follow up on delays, absences, vehicle issues, and other operational bottlenecks.

Solve Problems on the Ground
- Identify operational issues before they become larger problems.
- Take ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
- Coordinate with the relevant internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Handle unexpected operational situations and make sure execution does not get disrupted.
- Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to hub processes.

Track & Improve Operations
- Maintain daily operational trackers using Excel/Google Sheets.
- Track vehicle deployment, availability, maintenance, inventory, delivery partners, and pending tasks.
- Prepare regular operational reports and updates.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in hub operations.
- Help build and improve SOPs and processes as Pluto scales its hub network.

What We’re Looking For

- Strong ownership and willingness to get things done independently.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple operational issues simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced startup environment where processes are still being built.
- Prior experience in operations, logistics, fleet management, supply chain, or a startup is a plus, but not mandatory.

What This Role Offers This role will give you direct exposure to last-mile logistics, EV fleet operations, hub management, delivery operations, vendor management, and startup execution. You will be working directly on the ground and will have significant responsibility for ensuring that a Pluto hub operates efficiently every day.
