About the Role The Odoo Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining Odoo-based applications and business solutions. The role involves working across standard Odoo functionality and custom development to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business requirements.

The position requires a combination of technical Odoo expertise, problem-solving ability, understanding of business workflows, and strong software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo applications and modules based on defined business and technical requirements.
- Analyze requirements and determine the appropriate approach using standard Odoo functionality, configuration, customization, or new development.
- Develop scalable and maintainable custom modules while following Odoo development and coding standards.
- Configure and automate business workflows, approvals, notifications, scheduled activities, and repetitive processes within Odoo.
- Develop and maintain API integrations and data synchronization between Odoo and third-party applications.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, analytical views, and business intelligence outputs based on operational requirements.
- Support Odoo version upgrades, including migration and compatibility of custom modules and integrations.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, QA teams, and other developers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Prepare technical approaches, estimates, development plans, and low-level technical requirements where required.
- Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve development productivity, debugging, testing, documentation, and code quality.




- Provide technical support for deployed Odoo solutions and ensure issues are analyzed and resolved within defined timelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Odoo products, solutions, development processes, and delivery practices.

Technical Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Strong understanding of the Odoo framework, architecture, ORM, models, domains, contexts, actions, and module structure.
- Hands-on experience developing and customizing Odoo modules.
- Good understanding of Odoo core data models and standard functionality across areas such as CRM, Sales, Purchase, Accounting, Inventory, Projects, Timesheets, HR, and Helpdesk.
- Experience in extending standard Odoo modules using inheritance and custom business logic.
- Experience developing custom models, fields, workflows, wizards, server actions, scheduled actions, automated actions, and business rules.
- Strong experience with XML and Odoo view customization, including Form, List/Tree, Kanban, Search, Pivot, Graph, and QWeb views.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and Odoo frontend framework for UI and functional customizations.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, relational database concepts, and SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of Odoo security, including users, groups, access control lists, record rules, and role-based permissions.




- Experience configuring and developing business workflows and process automation across Odoo.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, webhooks, authentication, and third-party API integrations.
- Ability to develop or consume APIs for integration with external applications, platforms, and services.
- Experience developing custom dashboards, analytical views, KPIs, and management reports.
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills across Python, XML, JavaScript, ORM, database, and integration layers.
- Knowledge of Git and source code management, including branching, merging, code reviews, and maintaining development standards.
- Understanding of application performance optimization, database optimization, and scalable Odoo development practices.
- Familiarity with Docker/containerized environments and Odoo deployment processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and LLM-based development workflows for coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and productivity is a plus.
