– Occupational Therapist

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Summary The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment and individualized therapy for children with developmental, sensory, motor, behavioral, and functional difficulties. The therapist will work closely with parents and the multidisciplinary team to support each child's overall development and independence.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify individual therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and intervention plans.
- Provide therapy targeting:
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Hand-eye coordination
- Visual-motor and perceptual skills
- Activities of daily living and functional skills
- Pre-writing and school-readiness skills
- Attention and participation
- Maintain accurate therapy records, progress notes, and reassessment reports.
- Monitor and document children's progress regularly.
- Provide appropriate home-program recommendations to parents.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding therapy goals and progress.
- Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Behaviour Therapists, Special Educators, Psychologists, and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in case discussions, parent meetings, team meetings, and center programmes.
- Follow professional, ethical,



and child-safeguarding standards.
- Maintain a safe, child-friendly, and supportive therapy environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT).
- Valid professional registration as applicable.
- Experience working with children with developmental or neurological difficulties is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant clinical training may also apply.

- Good understanding of pediatric occupational therapy.
- Knowledge of sensory integration and developmental interventions.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Patience and a child-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn and participate in professional development.

Professional Expectations The therapist is expected to:
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Follow the center's clinical and administrative procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.
- Complete documentation within the required timelines.
- Coordinate professionally with other therapists and the clinical coordinator.
- Prioritize the child's safety, dignity, and developmental needs.

About Little Gems Child Development Center:

Little Gems Child Development Center provides multidisciplinary developmental and therapeutic support for children and families through individualized, child-centered intervention.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
