Role Description The New Product Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sriperumbudur. This role involves designing and developing new automotive components, from concept through to production, in line with customer and industry requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing product designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating prototyping and testing, and supporting validation and approval activities.

The engineer will work closely with R&D;, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, and cost objectives. Additional tasks include preparing technical documentation,



participating in design reviews, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the product development process.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core Mechanical Engineering knowledge and practical application skills.
- Candidates should possess Product Development and Product Design skills for automotive parts and components.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to support innovation and technical problem-solving.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or supplier environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software used for design and analysis.
- Understanding of OEM and Tier 1 requirements, standards, and validation processes.
- Ability to work on-site in Sriperumbudur and collaborate in a team-oriented workplace.
