Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Music Teacher role based at Mondrian High in Dehra Dun.

The Music

Teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons that cover theory, performance, and appreciation across appropriate grade levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching individual and group classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support skill development. The teacher will organize and direct performances such as recitals, assemblies, and school events, while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Additional duties may include collaborating with other faculty, participating in staff meetings and professional development,



and contributing to curriculum enrichment and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge to design structured, progressive learning experiences.
- Demonstrated Music Performance skills both vocal (English and Hindi)and instrumental, with the ability to model technique and interpretive skills for students.
- Background in Music Education, including experience teaching diverse learners and designing age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Proficiency in Piano, guitar abd drums with the ability to use the instrument for instruction, accompaniment, and ensemble work.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Music, Music Education, or a closely related field; advanced qualifications are an asset.
- Experience teaching in a school setting, preferably at the middle or high school level.
- Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom that supports different learning styles and abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to working closely with colleagues, students, and families.
- Willingness to support school events, performances, and extracurricular activities related to music and the arts.
