Position Overview

We are seeking a Mobile Automation Tester for the PI Germany team within the ITG – Personal Investors IT business line. Based in Chennai, you will be responsible for automating and maintaining regression test artefacts for mobile‑based applications, ensuring high‑quality delivery across our BFSI projects.

Job Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, API testing tools, Cucumber and Gherkin in line with the enterprise automation framework.
- Execute automated test suites and report status, results, and defects to the Test Lead/Test Manager and project stakeholders.
- Conduct manual testing when required, creating and updating test sets.
- Assess automation feasibility for functional test cases and provide technical guidance to fellow automation engineers.
- Collaborate closely with QA colleagues, developers, and other team members in an agile environment.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Nexus) and support continuous integration of automated tests.

Required Education, Skills, AND Experience (MUST‑HAVE)

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of IT software QA/testing experience, with at least 7 years focused on test automation (Appium, API testing).




- Proven expertise in Java and automation scripting for mobile testing (Appium, Cucumber, Gherkin).
- Strong background in CI/CD processes, GitLab, and Nexus.
- Hands‑on experience in the BFSI domain; personal finance or lending exposure is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education, Skills, AND Experience (NICE‑TO‑HAVE)

- Familiarity with web technologies such as CSS, HTML, Node.js, and Angular/AngularJS.
- Experience with JIRA‑XRay for test management.
- Additional exposure to API testing tools beyond the core set.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and adapt processes as needed.
