Metallurgist engineer would be working primarily to analyze and check the physical test result of production process control, product quality assurance, and provides product and material analyses to support engineering activities of manufacturing units of the group based in India and France. Maintain close interaction and obtain direct feedback from the customers and the manufacturing units. A background in Metallurgical engineering, robust working knowledge in metallurgical department is required.

Responsibilities

-Apply statistical methods to solve problems and design experiments.

-Analyze manufacturing defects to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

-Reviews customer specifications and develops manufacturing methods.

-Provide direction to design engineers for appropriate and optimal materials & processes selection





-Identify needs not addressed by current material solutions and lead development of new materials technologies for Engineering Process.

-Support failure investigations.

-Support materials development, processes, and applications.

-Prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

-Diploma / Bachelors / Masters / PhD in Metallurgical / Material Science Engineering

-2+Year in the Manufacturing sector preferably Aerospace domain.

-Working experience with forgings / machine parts in aluminum / steel / titanium / other alloys.

Skills

-Knowledge in all mechanical / metallurgical tests.

-Able to compile and analyze subcontractor / internal test reports.

-Proficient in excel. Minitab / power bi is a plus.

-Able to analyze customer specification / documents.

-Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of French is a plus.

-VBA scripting is a plus.
