About the role The MES Analyst contributes to the design, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation of Manufacturing Execution System solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing environments. The role delivers compliant, efficient, and reliable digital manufacturing solutions aligned with customer requirements and regulatory expectations.
You will collaborate with Process, QA, Production, Automation, IT/OT, and Validation stakeholders to translate manufacturing requirements into structured MES deliverables. The role requires practical capability in MES platforms, electronic batch records, testing, validation, and ownership of defined work packages.

How you might spend your days
As a MES Analyst, you will:
- Execute MES design, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation activities for assigned work packages.
- Translate manufacturing and business requirements into MES workflows, functional specifications, recipes, and configuration elements.
- Configure and support MES platforms such as Körber PAS-X or equivalent solutions for electronic batch management and production execution.
- Prepare and maintain design specifications, configuration records, test scripts, traceability information, and validation deliverables.
- Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; document evidence and support defect resolution and retesting.
- Participate in requirement workshops, design reviews, customer discussions, and project coordination meetings.
- Collaborate with Process, QA, Automation, IT, Production, and Validation teams to ensure compliant and practical solution delivery.
- Apply GMP, GAMP5, data integrity, Annex 11,
and 21 CFR Part 11 expectations throughout MES activities.
- Support troubleshooting, deviation handling, corrective actions, system deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Manage assigned priorities, communicate progress, and escalate risks, dependencies, or technical issues appropriately.
- Contribute to reusable templates, lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and team best practices.

What you bring to the role In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with an MES platform such as Körber PAS-X, Emerson Syncade, Siemens Opcenter, or an equivalent solution.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, electronic batch records, recipes, workflows, and production execution.
- Practical experience in MES configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, and validation support activities.
- Working knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, data integrity, Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11,
and computerized system validation principles.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into MES documentation, workflows, configurations, and test cases.
- Experience collaborating with Process, QA, Automation, IT, Production, and Validation stakeholders.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned work packages while contributing effectively to the wider project team.
