About the Role

Venttup Ventures is looking for Mechanical Engineering freshers and interns who are interested in gaining practical exposure to Product Localisation, Manufacturing, Engineering and New Product Development (NPD).

The selected candidates will work closely with the Localisation and Engineering teams and gain hands-on industry experience in understanding engineering requirements, components, drawings, manufacturing processes and vendor development.

Educational Qualification

Only candidates from a Mechanical Engineering background are eligible.

- B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- Candidates who have graduated in 2026 can apply.
- Final-year students / freshers looking for an internship opportunity may also apply, subject to availability and internship requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Localisation team in identifying and developing locally available components and products.
- Support the team in studying engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Assist in identifying suitable local suppliers and manufacturers.
- Support vendor identification, communication and follow-ups.
- Assist in collecting and comparing technical and commercial details from suppliers.
- Understand basic manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, fabrication, casting, forging and other mechanical processes.
- Support the team in preparing and maintaining component and vendor databases.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors for samples, prototypes and development activities.
- Support inspection and verification of components as per drawings/specifications.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports and trackers.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Business Development teams whenever required.




- Learn and support reverse engineering, prototyping and localisation activities under the guidance of senior team members.

Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Processes
- Ability to understand basic engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a practical manufacturing environment
- Strong interest in Product Development, Localisation and Manufacturing
