Qualification: Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings, layouts and technical documentation based on approved designs and project requirements. The role involves coordination with Design/Engineering, Planning and other departments to ensure drawings are accurate, updated and available as per project and Site requirements.

Responsibilities

Drawing Preparation & Documentation

Prepare 2D engineering drawings, layouts, as per approved designs and specifications.

Develop detailed drawings based on design inputs, BOMs, technical specifications and site/project requirements.

Prepare revisions and update drawings based on engineering or production changes.

Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control and documentation.

Design & Engineering Coordination

Coordinate with Design/Engineering teams to understand technical requirements and clarify drawing-related issues.

Ensure drawings are prepared as per approved standards, dimensions and specifications.

Incorporate design changes and maintain updated drawings.

Production & Manufacturing Support





Coordinate with project and Planning teams to ensure latest approved drawings are available on site.

Review drawings for basic dimensional accuracy, manufacturability and consistency with BOMs.

Provide required drawing support for site working, and installation activities.

Drawing Control & Quality

Maintain records of approved, revised and obsolete drawings.

Ensure proper version/revision control and prevent use of outdated drawings.

Support resolution of drawing-related discrepancies and coordinate corrections with the Engineering team.

Skills

Good knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawing preparation.

Understanding of manufacturing/fabrication drawings, dimensions and technical specifications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with valuable visualization skills.

Good coordination and communication skills with Engineering, and Planning teams.

Ability to manage multiple drawings, revisions and time-bound requirements.

knowledge ASHRAE Standards (55, 62.1, 90.1, etc.), Local Building Codes, SMACNA, ISHRAE / CIBSE (as applicable), Project Specifications & Client Requirements

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
