Job Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for conveyors and material handling equipment.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, GD&T;, and material selection.
- Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and design reports.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Automation teams for integrated design solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding fabrication feasibility, costing, and material availability.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve design and production-related technical issues and provide necessary support to manufacturing teams.





Key Skills Required
- Robust knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and GD&T;.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks / Solid Edge / Inventor / CATIA / AutoCAD.
- Practical experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, and welding processes.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
- Understanding of engineering design standards and safety compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
