Master Tailor – Production & Sampling

About the role:

GIAARA Atelier is a contemporary fashion label working with natural fabrics — khadi cotton, silk and linen — to create women's ethnic and resort wear. We're looking for an experienced Master Tailor to lead sampling and production stitching.

Responsibilities:

- Develop sample garments from design sketches and patterns
- Oversee and guide production-line stitching for women's ethnic/resort wear
- Ensure fit, finish and construction quality match design specifications
- Coordinate with and train junior tailors during bulk production
- Manage production timelines and minimize fabric wastage




- Troubleshoot fit/construction issues during sampling stage

Requirements:

- Minimum 3- 5 years' experience as a Master Tailor / Sampling Tailor in the garment industry
- Robust hands-on skill in cutting, stitching and pattern work for women's wear
- Experience working with natural fabrics (cotton, khadi, silk, linen) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret design sketches independently
- Based in or able to commute within Mumbai
