This role works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Team. It is responsible for studying and analyzing 3D solid models and engineering drawings, developing manufacturing processes, generating optimal CNC toolpaths using Mastercam, and proving CNC programs on VMC 4th Axis, Turning, and Turn-Mill machines.
The role will also support New Product Introduction (NPI), process optimization, manufacturing cost and cycle-time reduction, fixture development, CNC programming, process documentation, and continuous improvement activities in line with AS9100D and ISO 14001 requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Study and analyze given 3D solid models, engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T;, fits, and tolerances to determine suitable manufacturing methods.
- Prepare process/setup sheets, operational drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation for CNC operators.
- Develop fixture concepts and support fixture design using 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD and relevant CAD tools.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, and cutting parameters based on material, geometry, machining operation, and required surface finish.
- Generate optimized CNC tool paths using Mastercam for 3-4 Axis machining applications.
- Develop and prove CNC programs on VMC with 4th Axis, turning, and Turn-Mill machines.
- Work with CNC machines with FANUC.
- Perform CNC program prove-outs, identify machining issues, and make necessary program/process corrections to achieve required quality and productivity.
- Maintain proper configuration management and revision control of NC programs.
- Carry out estimated cost calculation at the point level, including machining time, tooling, raw material, setup, fixture, consumables and other applicable manufacturing costs, to support process planning and cost estimation.
- Conduct continuous improvement projects focused on optimization of manufacturing cost, machining cycle time, tooling cost, material utilization and process efficiency.
- Manage the development and implementation of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities in accordance with company procedures, ensuring a robust, repeatable and production-ready manufacturing strategy.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing methods and Lean manufacturing processes for new product introduction and improvement of existing processes.
- Develop, maintain, and improve engineering standards, SOPs, work instructions and manufacturing best practices with the objective of process standardization.
- Keep updated with current and emerging trends in the manufacturing industry, including advanced cutting tools, machining techniques, tooling technologies, and process optimization methods.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Design, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Project Management to ensure smooth manufacturing execution.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders.
- Liaise with Project Management and relevant teams to understand customer delivery requirements and support achievement of committed timelines.
- Develop and manage material handling requirements for recent manufacturing activities, from material receipt through machining and final delivery.
- Identify manufacturing risks and support implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in training programs required for effective performance of the role and contribute to personal and team development.
- Take a responsible approach to health, safety, and environmental requirements associated with the job role and report identified risks to management.
- Support and maintain manufacturing engineering activities in compliance with AS9100D and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management, commensurate with the position.

- BE Mechanical / BE Production Engineering
- DME with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience
Certifications:
Preferred certifications/training in
- Mastercam
- SolidWorks
- CNC Programming / Manufacturing Engineering
Experience:
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering or process planning.
- Candidates with aerospace manufacturing experience will be preferred.
- Experience in precision machining and aerospace-grade materials will be an added advantage.
Quality & Management Systems
- Working knowledge of AS9100D requirements and documentation practices.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 requirements related to manufacturing operations.
