Position Summary & Scope
This role translates the broader marketing vision set by the leadership into actionable sponsorship strategies, compelling proposals, and revenue-generating brand partnerships. The incumbent will function as a strategic bridge between Sales, Editorial, Marketing, Clients, and Event Operations, ensuring commercially strong, creatively integrated, and KPI-driven event execution.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
1. Sponsorship Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Develop and oversee all sales support tools across titles - media kits, category decks, pitch presentations, emailers, and annual sales narratives.
- Create insight-led category presentations to unlock new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Partner with Commercial Sales Leads to identify revenue gaps and develop customized, solution-oriented sponsorship strategies.
- Support lead generation efforts by identifying recent client segments, white spaces, and emerging industries.
2. Sponsor Integration & Pitching
- Conceptualize innovative sponsor integration ideas aligned with each brand’s positioning and audience.
- Co-lead sponsorship pitches alongside the Sales team.
- Develop compelling pitch decks and storytelling frameworks tailored to client objectives.
- Drive end-to-end execution of sponsorship deals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
3. Event Sponsorship Management
- Own sponsor servicing and on-ground execution across events.
- Ensure all sponsor deliverables are executed seamlessly and in line with contractual commitments.
- Act as the primary marketing interface for sponsors throughout the event lifecycle.
- Execute barters and cost negotiations in alignment with Sales and Editorial requirements.
- Champion experiential design innovation - bringing in activations / elements that engage and delight the high-end audience & luxury brands.
- Deliver consistently high standards of brand identity (visual, narrative, messaging, tone) across all physical and digital touch points of the Events/IP.
- Actively integrate post-event evaluations and learning into future event designs - capturing best practices, improvement in themes/content etc
- Own editorial and commercial narrative alignment - ensuring all event integrations, marketing campaigns and creative assets reflect IP’s legacy and partner narratives.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Alliances, and Event Operations to deliver integrated brand experiences.
- Translate commercial objectives into creative solutions that uphold brand integrity.
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders to achieve event KPIs.
5. Financial & Performance Accountability
- Support the Head – Events and Commercial Sales Leads in delivering event revenue targets.
- Ensure each event maintains a profitable P&L.;
- Identify cost efficiencies in collaboration with the Events team without compromising experience quality.
- Track performance metrics and ensure KPI adherence across projects.
