Role Description This full-time, on-site Manager | Accounts & Finance (Chartered Accountant) role is based in Mumbai and is responsible for overseeing core accounting and financial operations for Subway India. The role includes managing general ledger accounts, supervising month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards.

The manager will handle budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash-flow management to support strategic decision-making and business growth.



Day-to-day responsibilities also involve tax planning and compliance, managing audits, maintaining internal controls, and coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners. The role requires a focus on process improvement, financial risk management, and providing clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

- Professional accounting and compliance skills, including Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, and regulatory reporting.
- Core finance and analysis skills, such as budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and cash-flow management.
- Accounting operations and control skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, audit coordination, and implementation of robust internal controls.
- Business and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to partner with operations, franchise, and corporate teams, and manage external auditors and consultants.
- Technology and tools proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management capabilities, with an ability to present financial insights clearly and drive process improvements.
- Relevant experience in retail, QSR, FMCG, or multi-location businesses is desirable, along with comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented workplace.
