Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Operations

- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Attend and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery.
- Maintain proper machine health records and logs.

2. Electrical Maintenance

- Troubleshoot motors, drives (VFDs), PLCs, sensors, control panels, and wiring systems.
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems such as HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

3. Mechanical Maintenance

- Handle maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors, rollers, bearings, etc.
- Perform alignment, lubrication, and replacement of mechanical parts.
- Support fabrication and modification work when required.

4. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with production team to improve machine reliability.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, 5S).

5. Safety & Compliance

- Follow all EHS (Setting, Health & Safety) guidelines.
- Ensure safe work practices during maintenance activities.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and reports.
- Update spare parts consumption and inventory requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly maintenance reports.

Skills Required:

- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and mechanical systems
- Understanding of PLC, VFD, and automation systems
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Machine uptime / downtime reduction
- Preventive maintenance compliance
- Breakdown response time
- Safety compliance.
- Maintenance cost control.
