Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Storage Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration, DFSMS, DFSMShsm, Parallel Sysplex, and enterprise storage replication technologies . The candidate will be responsible for storage configuration, data movement, backup and recovery, copy services, and supporting high-availability mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support IBM z/OS mainframe storage environments.
- Work with Parallel Sysplex environments and understand associated storage and availability concepts.
- Perform and support mainframe LPAR builds and storage configuration activities.
- Implement, configure, and maintain DFSMS environments.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ACS (Automatic Class Selection) routines .
- Support DFSMSdss for DASD data movement, including dumps, restores, and volume-related activities.
- Implement and manage automated backup, migration, and recall using DFSMShsm .
- Manage and maintain mainframe catalogs , including troubleshooting and recovery activities.
- Implement and support advanced IBM storage copy and replication services, including:
- PPRC
- XRC
- FlashCopy
- Metro Mirror
- GDPS
- Support storage replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability requirements.
- Install,



configure, and manage additional physical storage as required.
- Monitor storage environments and troubleshoot capacity, performance, availability, and replication-related issues.
- Participate in storage upgrades, migrations, maintenance activities, and production implementations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and recovery processes.
- Provide production and on-call support as required.

- Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and support critical production environments.
- Willingness to provide off-hours/on-call support when required.
