Role Description The Machine Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing daily machining operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru includes managing machine shop staff, coordinating workflow, optimizing machine utilization, and maintaining equipment and tooling. The role involves planning and monitoring production schedules, resolving technical and operational issues, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.





The Machine Shop

Manager will track performance metrics, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and support audits and compliance requirements. The individual will also contribute to training, coaching, and developing team members to maintain a skilled and efficient workforce.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in Production Planning and Production Management to coordinate machining operations and meet delivery timelines.
- Hands-on expertise in Machining processes, machine tools, and shop-floor practices to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Experience in Quality Management and Inspection to maintain standards, conduct checks, and support zero-defect output.
- Knowledge of CNC and conventional machining, tooling selection, and process optimization.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Proven experience in team leadership, shift management, and performance monitoring in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience in forging or precision machining is an advantage.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
