Job Summary:

Hartree Metal LLC was created in 2019 and has been growing steadily over the past years. We are seeking a dynamic and organized Operator / Logistics Co-Ordinator to support the administrative operations of our Mumbai office. We are looking for someone to join a growing and motivated team.

This position is multi-faceted, exciting and with challenging tasks. This candidate must possess a broad set of skills and knowledge and will interact with traders, Operations team in Geneva/Shanghai/other locations, inspection companies, assayers, freight brokers and eventually also with customers.

Responsibilities:





- Liaise with Geneva Ops to finalize purchase and/or sales contracts
- Prepare financing requests for financing banks, prepare stock release and payment requests for goods/freight/broker commission and send for approval. Follow up on documents with bank for negotiation under letters of credit for quick payment check suppliers’ invoices and cross check / prepare sales invoices
- Communicate with customers to coordinate shipments
- Appoint supervision companies and follow-up with surveyors and assaying
- laboratories
- Get container freight quotes from brokers for various shipments
- Prepare lay-times for bulk shipments as per contractual terms once vessel operations
- are complete and NOR/SOF are available
- Daily updates and internal reporting

Qualifications:

- Candidate must be fluent in English. Spanish, Chinese or any other language is a plus
- Must be team player; willingness to learn
- Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Good logical and analytical skills, critical mindset
- Previous experience in metals trading company / logistics / dry bulk laytime calculations is a plus
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook
