Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for Litigation Lawyers with experience, based in Kochi. The role involves handling litigation matters in various courts and tribunals, drafting pleadings and legal documents, preparing case strategies, and conducting legal research relevant to ongoing and prospective cases.

The Litigation

Lawyer will appear in court, coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams, and provide clear, practical legal advice on disputes and related legal issues. Daily responsibilities include reviewing case files, advising on litigation risks, participating in negotiations and settlements,



and ensuring timely compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines. The role also involves collaborating with the wider Biz & Legis team to align litigation strategies with broader corporate and virtual legal practice objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to analyze complex Legal Issues and interpret relevant statutes and case law.
- Proven experience in providing clear, practical Legal Advice to clients in contentious and pre-litigation matters.
- Hands-on experience appearing before Courts and tribunals, including drafting and arguing pleadings, applications, and other filings.
- Effective Negotiation skills for handling settlements, alternative dispute resolution, and client–counterparty discussions.
- LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution and enrollment with the Bar Council; prior litigation experience in Kochi or similar jurisdictions preferred.
- Strong legal drafting and research abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present legal positions clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, work under deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a structured, professional environment.
- Familiarity with technology-enabled legal practice and willingness to adopt new legal tech tools is an advantage.
