Role Description This is a full time, commission-based LIC Agent role that can be performed remotely. The LIC Agent is responsible for identifying prospective clients, explaining LIC’s life insurance and investment products, and recommending suitable plans based on clients’ financial goals and protection needs.
Daily activities include meeting or contacting clients, conducting needs assessments, preparing and submitting proposals, assisting customers with policy documentation, and following up on renewals and service requests. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of client interactions, staying updated on LIC products and regulatory guidelines,
and participating in training or marketing initiatives to grow the portfolio. Successful agents build long-term relationships with clients, support them through claim processes when needed, and contribute to LIC’s overall mission of financial security.
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage skills, with the ability to match products to client needs.
- Solid understanding of Insurance concepts and Finance fundamentals relevant to life insurance and investments.
- Excellent Customer Service abilities, including clear communication, empathy, and timely follow-up.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working on a commission-based model.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client accounts.
- Basic proficiency in digital tools (email, messaging apps, online forms) for remote client engagement.
- Minimum educational qualification as per LIC and regulatory requirements; prior experience in sales or financial services is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and willingness to continuously learn LIC products and compliance norms.
