Position: Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst – Data

Experience: 6–9 Years

Domain: US Healthcare

Primary Skills: Data Modeling, Data Normalization, RDBMS, SQL, Python, Tableau

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with 6–9 years of experience, preferably with solid exposure to the US Healthcare domain. The candidate should have hands-on experience in data modeling, database concepts, SQL, Python, and Tableau, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, data engineers and reporting/BI teams to understand requirements, analyze healthcare data, define data structures and support data-driven business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, understand and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes and translate requirements into data and functional specifications.
- Design and review conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Apply data normalization and database design principles.
- Understand relationships between different entities/tables and define appropriate keys, relationships and constraints.




- Work extensively with RDBMS and relational database concepts.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation and analysis.
- Perform data analysis, reconciliation and validation to identify data quality issues.
- Use Python for data analysis, manipulation, validation and automation where required.
- Create and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
- Work with large healthcare datasets and understand data relationships, business rules and data flows.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, QA, BI teams and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical/data requirements for development teams.
- Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, validating data and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform root-cause analysis for data/reporting issues.
- Prepare documentation including BRDs, functional specifications, data mapping documents, process flows and data dictionaries.
