1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountabilities Major Activities
- Monitor the installation of Balance of Plant works: EHV Line, PSS, GSS Bay extension work, 33 KV Line, USS
- Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that it is completed on time and within budget.
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure that the project is delivered to the required quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and tests to ensure that the system is operating correctly and efficiently.
- Prepare reports and documentation on project progress and technical specifications.
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders to ensure that their needs and requirements are met.
- Manage and monitor the work of other engineers, technicians, and contractors on site.
- Post erection/ installation complete the inspection and testing checklists mentioning the observations, if any. In case of major observations/ Defects, notify site management and issue Quality NCRs/ Observation reports to EPC Partners and subsequent follow-ups to get the detects/ observations cleared.
- Witness of testing and pre-commissioning/ commissioning activities.
- Handing over of Assets to O&M;
- Billing & Contractor Management
- Monitor the Erection/ Installation, Testing & pre-commissioning, Commissioning activities of the following as per SOP & FQP:
- Transmission Line works, e.g. Tower Foundation/ Erection, Stringing of Conductors & OPGW,
- PSS Erection & Installation works: Structure & Equipment Erection, Main Power Transformer & Auxiliary Transformers Erection, Laying of Bus Bar, Power & Control Cables, Termination of Cables at various Equipment’s e.g., Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Earth Switch, Current Transformer, Potential Transformer, Main Power Transformers along with NIFPS, Earthing Material, Conductor, OPGW, Insulators & hardware.
- Main Control Room: Installation of Control & Relay Panels, 220 KV, 33kV Switchgear, SCADA Panels, Auxiliary Transformers, Battery Bank, ACDB, DCDB, LDB, FOTE, Power plant Monitoring systems, WMS etc.
Cable Laying & Termination as per cable schedule.
- 33 KV Line work: installation & Monitoring of 33 KV line work (SC & DC Line) as per FQP/ SOP / Approved drawings
- Finalization of Pending Points, Handing over of BOP systems to O&M;
- Monitor SCADA, communication systems, protection systems and metering systems installation.
- Inspection & Validation on Receipt of the following:
- Transmission Line Materials: Stub & Tower materials, Earthing Material, Conductor, OPGW, Insulators & hardware.
- PSS Equipment/Materials: Foundation Stubs & Structure Material, Bus Bar, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Earth Switch, Current Transformer, Potential Transformer, Main Power Transformers along with NIFPS, Earthing Material, Conductor, OPGW, Insulators & hardware.
- Main Control Room Equipment/Materials: Control & Relay Panels, 33kV Switchgear, SCADA Panels, Auxiliary Transformers, Battery Bank, ACDB, DCDB, LDB, etc.
- USS Equipment / Materials: Control & Relay Panels, structure Materials, Transformer, VCB, CT, PT, etc.,
- 33 KV Line Materials: Poles, structures, Conductors, OFC & other related materials
- Post Inspection complete the inspection checklist mentioning the observations, if any. In case of major observations/ Defects, notify site management and issue Quality NCRs/ Observation reports to EPC Partners and subsequent follow-ups to get the detects/ observations cleared.
- Maintaining Valid Records, Updated drawings, FQP, SOP, Checklist , DPR , Material Register, Delay Register,
- Coordination with Teams for Pre-commissioning & Commissioning , STPT and other relevant activities
- Billing & Contractor Management
- Finalization and certification of Measurement sheet and Job completion certificate/ Running Bills based on Milestone as per vendor agreement
HSSE
- Provide input to Project Management team on HSSE observation aspect to Project Management team.
- Make observations of safety non-conformance for each contractor. Conduct discussions with contractors about safety improvements.
- Ensure PPE compliance at site as per agreed standards
- Ensure and adhere the PTW system during project phase
- Attend and conduct the TBT and Sunset meeting.
- Any safety non-compliance at site, bring immediate attention to Project Management team.
- Ensure LTI free site during project phase.
- Create awareness of BBS and other safety initiatives

1. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Additional Qualification: - Post Graduation in Project/ Construction Management will be preferred
Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of Wind projects Electrical systems
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in Wind energy
- Experience in managing and supervising teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues on site
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Relevant and total years of Experience
- Overall experience: 8-10 years for Graduates / 10-14 years for Diploma Holders
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Wind project installation
