1. Job Purpose

To perform laboratory investigations accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper specimen handling, testing, documentation, quality control, and timely reporting while maintaining patient safety and laboratory standards.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, identify, label, and properly handle patient specimens such as blood, urine, stool, swabs, and other clinical samples.
- Perform routine laboratory tests as assigned in areas such as:
- Hematology
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Clinical Pathology
- Serology / Immunology
- Microbiology, as applicable
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, slides, and other materials required for laboratory investigations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory tests and processes.
- Perform internal quality-control procedures and report any abnormal or inconsistent results to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure accurate entry of test results into laboratory registers, software, or Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Maintain proper documentation, records,



and traceability of samples and test results.
- Ensure timely processing of samples and communication of critical or urgent results as per hospital policy.
- Follow infection-control practices, biomedical waste-management
- procedures, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the laboratory and work areas.
- Monitor stock levels of reagents, consumables, collection materials, and other laboratory supplies and inform the concerned person when replenishment is required.
- Participate in equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting as directed.
- Handle biological samples and laboratory chemicals safely using appropriate PPE.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory reports.
- Assist senior laboratory staff, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals as required.
- Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the Laboratory In-charge3.3.Qualifications

Essential:

- Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and infection control.
- Knowledge of computer operations and basic data entry.

Desirable: Pay: ₹8,181.28 - ₹28,093.32 per month
