– Finance Controller / Finance Manager
Location: Delhi / Gurugram Type: Full-time
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
Experience: Min 5 years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) preferred
Industry Preference: NBFC / HFC / Lending / Financial Services
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and analytical CA professional with hands-on experience in finance, FP&A;, MIS reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, cost optimization, and management reporting, preferably within an NBFC, HFC, lending, or financial services environment. The role will involve supporting financial planning, business performance tracking, month-end closure, management reporting, cost analysis, and providing actionable financial insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)
- Support preparation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP), budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and provide business insights.
- Analyze business, state/region, and LOB performance to identify growth opportunities and areas of concern.
- Conduct financial and cost-benefit analysis for new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making inputs.
2. MIS & Performance Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS and management reports covering business performance and profitability.
- Track key business metrics including productivity, login/disbursal ratios, foreclosure and runoff trends, and sourcing mix.
- Maintain dashboards and trackers for management reviews.
- Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights.
- Support benchmarking and comparative financial analysis across relevant businesses/entities.
3. Cost Optimization & Business Insights
- Analyze sourcing and distribution costs across DSA/DST/Direct channels.
- Review incentives, contests, payouts, and other business-related costs.
- Identify cost leakages and opportunities for cost rationalization.
- Work closely with business and strategy teams on financial and operational improvement initiatives.
4. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closure
- Support monthly and quarterly financial closure activities.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, financial workings, and management reports.
- Support IND AS-related workings and financial reporting, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for timely completion of audits.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information and reporting.
5. Tax, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate with relevant teams for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable tax compliances.
- Support strengthening of internal financial controls and process governance.
- Ensure accuracy of financial and loan portfolio data used for reporting.
- Identify process gaps and support implementation of corrective measures.
6. Automation & Process Improvement
- Develop and automate MIS and financial reporting using Advanced Excel, Power Query, and other digital tools.
- Work with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Tally, Zoho, or other relevant platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency,
accuracy, and turnaround time.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across assigned businesses/entities.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- 3–7 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience in NBFC, HFC, lending, banking, or financial services will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of FP&A;, budgeting, MIS, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel and Power Query skills preferred.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide actionable business insights.
