Role Description The Junior Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Velachery. This role involves assisting in the structural design and detailing of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems under the guidance of senior engineers.

The Junior Design

Engineer will prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, and support the review and optimization of project designs. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, responding to technical queries, and ensuring that design work aligns with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.



The role also includes participating in internal design reviews, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement of design processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in structural engineering principles, including concrete design, load analysis, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Proficiency in CAD or BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis software, with the ability to produce clear design drawings and models.
- Applied problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to check calculations, identify design issues, and propose practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with senior engineers, project teams, and site personnel in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Willingness to learn post-tensioning technologies and methods, supported by internal training and mentoring.
- Ability to work on-site in Velachery, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a project-driven setting.
- Prior internship or project experience in structural design or construction is an advantage, but not mandatory.
